the body mind connection is a near universal concept that has been accepted in many cultures around the world for thousands of years. eastern philosophy has traditionally seen the body, mind and spirit as a whole, taking on a holistic view to the prevention and treatment of disease.

simply, work that happens in the body impacts the experience in the mind. our thoughts, beliefs, and attitudes have an impact on our biology. vice versa, our bodily sensations directly influences our mind.

this is the basic principle of embodiment and embodied work – breath, meditation, movement and nutrition.
